I have been to so many sites trying to find as much detail as possible on wood blinds and your's has got to be the "one and only"! (I have been to a "major" blind and wallpaper website which gave little info on the Hunter Douglas product (wood blinds), other than low quality sample pictures, and prices...that was about all they had. You even have more info than the HD site! About samples, is there a limit to the number I can order? It would probably be about 8. Thanks again!

I was terrified when I placed the order that the color wasn't going to be right, or I had made a mistake when measuring for our blinds. I got my order on the 9th, and hesitantly opened the box. When my order came, one of the six wands was short. I also decided that two of my blinds that span one window needed one long valance instead of two. I called your customer service department and spoke with Janeen, who was helpful and efficient and told me she'd have Hunter Douglas send the stuff right out.

I just called back again because one of my corner keys was also broken and I decided I needed some hold down brackets for the one blind that goes on a patio door. Again I talked to Janeen. Again she was helpful and said she'd have the new parts sent right out.

I've done a lot of complaining over the past few years about poor service and being put on hold by customer service lines for what seems like a day and a half. It was a pleasure doing business with The Blind Alley. Not only did we save around 50% over what the same blinds would have cost us locally, but your service, and in particular Janeen's attentive and efficient handling of my calls, made my month. The information was presented is a very clear, usable manner, and pop-ups appeared only to provide additional information where necessary (the change in levelor in 1999 for example...). This is not the first time that I have purchased blinds through your company. I just wanted you to know I have never, absoultely never had a problem in the three times I have bought blinds from the Blind Alley. I am simply delighted with your service. I found that at Home Depot here in Hanford Calif, they wanted $80.00 for installation of EACH blind. My blinds from you were 800.00, they wanted $1120.00 just for installation, not to mention the blinds they offered at the same price as yours were very, very poor quality. Keep up the good work.

I'm happy to find a place that sells Levolor replacement parts such as tilt gears, etc. Was not able to find this locally. Finding what I needed was pretty easy, the site is fairly well laid out. Ordering was easy enough. I use on-line retailers all the time because of convenience. Would like to see you accept Discover card, though. No biggie.

I have been on a quest to get replacement handles for my windows for about 3 months. I went to almost every local hardware store in the Boston area and NONE of them had the T-Handle product that you carry. Since my experience was not going all that well. I haven't found a website easier to go through or containing as much helpful information anywhere. Whoever designed this work of art should be paid double - a genius! (It just so happens I need to know how to re-string my Levelor blinds at the moment), but I end up spending most of the time sifting through sites to find the area that may contain some direction as to where to actually find what I need. Thank you for putting complete installation instructions on your website. I purchased Levolor blinds from another dealer (a large warehouse hardware chain) and did not receive installation instructions with my order.

I searched the web for Levolor's website, assuming they would have installation instructions online. Wrong! Luckily for me, Google search turned up your website with complete instructions.

I do have one little problem. When Levelor shipped the two replacement blinds they did not include the hold-down brackets. I probably shouldn't have returned the original blinds until I checked the replacements. Can you please send me the brackets from the returned blinds if you still have them?

I just received my order for two blinds. It's my second order and both were very satisfactory.  However, the valances were wrong in the second order. The ones you sent were for a recessed blind. My blinds are mounted in front of the window, and so they need the two side pieces for the valences. Separately, I am ordering two additional blinds. You may want to ship the replacements with the additional order.

Hi, the samples arrived quickly and we discovered that you were right, the color of the sample of bottle green is just what the blind is made of. Our monitor seems to remove blue tones a bit, as all the samples you sent were bluer in person than they appeared on the screen.

The good news is that the bottle green blind will do well! When we were able to see the blind material unfolded in the sample, we found that the color is close enough to fit in the room. The metal top and bottom still appear a bit more aqua than we had expected, but it will be something that we can live with easily. We put the blind up last night and it looks great!

I want to thank you for your efforts and commend you on the integrity of your company. We will definitely order blinds from you in the future, sending for samples first, just in case!

In this particular labor market, where it seems that many companies are suffering from a labor shortage and underqualified sales associates, it is not too often that consumers are delighted with excellent customer service.

I am a first time customer at Blind Alley, and at first I was a little leery of ordering on-line. My only motivation was to get the best possible price, and your price was a considerable savings over what I was able to acquire through even a discount department store in my area.

But I was impressed in many areas, even beyond price. First, your website contained more information than I was able to get from the sales associate in my local department store. Secondly, I discovered, that an option was available for my blind that I was told locally was not available in the size of blind I needed. Third, the delivery of the blind was quicker than I was promised from the local store and was also quicker than even your company promised.

But the most impressive consideration I received, was when I discovered a problem with my order -- that I didn't get the right blind. My first impression was "Here we go, . . I knew this was too good to be true." But your staff did a tremendous job of turning a negative into a positive. Not only did you immediately respond with a, "no questions asked" , "We will fix it right away!" response, but the delivery of the second blind arrived quicker than the first. And what finally took the cake was this last e-mail, that is so often overlooked in customer service. You actually followed-up to make sure I was satisfied, instead of just waiting for another complaint. Too often, customers like myself just don't return, rather than complain again.

So, I would just like to compliment your staff for your fine job. I have been quietly impressed all-along, but after your last follow-up, I felt I had to let you know that you have really done a great job. I will do all my shopping for blinds with your company, and you can be assured I will recommend your company. Congratulations, and thank you very much.

My blinds arrived, fit beautifully, and look great! Question for you: Our blinds were ordered for the glass on the sides and top of our front door. They look super if you're standing on the first level of our house. But if you go up the stairs and look down on the foyer, you see the tops of the blinds, which don't look very attractive (you see the metal on top). Any ideas for covering this part of the blind so that you have more of a true valence at the top? Is any such thing available to order? Would appreciate your suggestions. I thought you all did a good job of making clear what was needed and how to go about securing the accurate info required. Your color samples are actually pretty close to real life, considering how different the monitor is from reflective color; I use a high end monitor with color correction so it's probably not the norm.

Anyway, I would recommend your firm to others. And the prices shocked me when I went into Sears for comparison!!!
